In the aftermath of one of the most difficult days in American Jewish history, we should all be exceptionally proud not only of how our Boys Varsity Soccer Team played on the field in their exhilarating Sectional championship victory Saturday night, but also of how our student-athletes conducted themselves in post-game interviews with the media.
Check out this exciting article in the Journal News. Note in particular this comment by senior Ethan Sidelsky, one of the team captains: “That was really big for us. . . . We definitely had a tough first half, so that was a meaningful goal, especially with the news coming out of Pittsburgh this morning of innocent Jews being killed. It was on our minds to play for them so this one meant a lot.”
